Privacy Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
This policy explains what information Outpost Special Projects (“we”, “us”) collects through outpostspecialprojects.com (the “site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions are welcome at jackgagnier25@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- When you send a project brief. The contact form asks for your name, email address and a description of your project. It reaches us as an email; the site doesn’t store it in a database.
- When you create a client account. Your name, business name, email address and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our sign-in provider, so no one, including us, can read them.
- When you sign in with Google. Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, as its consent screen shows. We don’t receive your Google password, and we get no access to your Gmail, contacts, files or any other Google data.
- Automatically, when you visit. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. The site’s font is served by Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address and browser details.
How we use it
- To reply to your brief and talk with you about potential work.
- To create and run your account: signing you in, and sending account emails such as address confirmations and password resets.
- To provide the client portal and any services you engage us for.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site for us, and only what each one needs:
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the contact form.
- Supabase stores client accounts, handles sign-in and sends account emails.
- Google delivers contact-form briefs to our inbox through Gmail, provides “Continue with Google” if you use it, and serves the site’s font.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of anyone, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, we use the basic profile information Google provides (your name, email address and profile picture) only to create your account and sign you in. We don’t use it for advertising, sell it, or share it with anyone other than the service providers listed above. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and browser storage
The site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn’t track you across other websites. When you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in token in its local storage, under the name “outpost-auth”, so you stay signed in. Logging out removes it, and you can also clear it from your browser’s settings.
How long we keep it
- Project briefs stay in our email for as long as we need them to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversations. You can ask us to delete them.
- Account information is kept while your account is open. If you ask us to close your account, we delete it, except for anything the law requires us to keep.
- Our providers keep visit records for a limited time under their own retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to close your account, by emailing jackgagnier25@gmail.com. We’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights, and we’ll honor them. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored only in hashed form, and we rely on established providers for hosting and sign-in. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, though, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll also let account holders know by email or on the site. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of how the site may be used.
